Ostrowski is a versatile backline player who can play as the 2, 3 or 4. In 2016 he captained Butler University to one of their best seasons in program history as the Bulldogs captured the BIG East Championship and a NCAA Second Round Tournament berth. He was named BIG East Defensive player of the week once and awarded Second Team All-BIG East in 2016. 

During the summer of 2015 & 2016 he was a key member for the Indy Eleven's NPSL team, helping them to a Midwest Regional Championship as they advanced to the NPSL National Semi-Finals in 2015.
