Payton is an ALL-WAC selection and has been garnered with NSCAA West All-Region accolades during his 3 year career at UVU. Along with his ability to control the tempo of a match as the center mid he has sound leadership qualities that helped lead UVU to a program best season in 2016.
While at UV Payton played primarily as a #10 and wrapped up his 3 year career with an impressive 40 points.
