Andre Baires is a versatile and skilled defender who can fit in at center back or right back. Baires is a right-footed player who in attack enjoys getting forward and serving as a dead-ball threat on direct free kicks. Defensively, he is a strong stopper with great skill in serving as a ‘stopper’ as a ball-playing center back. In attack and defense, he reads the game well and has a strong passing range both from long range and up the pitch. Baires was a four-year starter at Green Bay and was a member of the Vancouver Whitecaps academy. He also represented the Canadian National Team at its youth levels. Additionally, he spent summer 2019 with the USL League Two National Runners-Up, Reading United AC.
